The Australian Labor party, led by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, is cruising towards victory in yesterday’s federal election. Given that our forecasts assumed policy continuity, we are inclined to leave them broadly unchanged. However, the sheer scale of Labor’s victory raises the risk that it will pursue a more unabashedly progressive agenda in its second term.
